5 Reasons not to wear a bra when you sleep

There is a lot of information about wearing bras while sleeping and of how it harms one’s health. Of course some of them that are doing the rounds such as wearing a Bra to bed makes it perkier or that it causes cancer are not true.
Many women are skeptical about removing their bras when sleeping as they feel undressed not wearing it. However, there are certain problems that come when you sleep in a bra if it is not fitted right, especially the tight ones. It is better to be safer than sorry by pulling off your bra in the night irrespective of whether you know it fits well or not.
Here are a few reasons why you should pull it off before pulling on the covers at night :
1. Skin Irritation
A bra can irritate the skin in several ways. The hooks and other clasps on it, the embellishments, support wire etc… can rub against your skin and irritate it when you lie down. Underwire can specially cause lesions and even cysts if kept on for too long can cause a lot of pain and irritation to the skin.
2. Disturbs Sleep
The skin irritations, lack of circulation and even fitting can affect the quality of your sleep and give you restless sleep, where you toss and turn without a goodnight’s sleep.

3. Poor Blood Circulation
When you wear tight or restricting undergarments it can affect the circulation of blood in your nerves, especially in the area of your pectoral muscles. If such bras are worn for too long they can affect your sleep patterns and hurt your breast tissue.
4. Breast Fungus
Breast fungus usually develops in a warm and moist atmosphere. So when you wear a constricting bra in the night, especially in the hot and humid climate, the sweat and heat encourages the growth of fungus on your breasts. So remove your bra at night so that you can reduce the chances of developing fungus in the bust .

5. Pigmentation
When the Bra straps of a bra are too tight it causes discoloration of the area which it restricts. Such constant contact with the skin darkens the particular area.
Pegmentation
Most of the reasons that cause problems while wearing bras at night are caused in the assumption that a woman wears ill-fitting or tight bras. It is always safer to leave your bras off so as to let your skin breathe and let you be healthy.

6 Rules for a perfect fitted bra

Woman measuring bust Free Photo

Women wear bras to provide ample support to their breasts. Bras are the closest things to you and it should always feel like your second skin. It becomes your companion for life from the moment you slip it on. Whether you are searching bras for small breasts or plus size, you should get a perfect fit so that it serves its purpose.
Here are some rules that every woman should know about her bra and it’s fitting so that she gets the most out of these special intimates :
Rule #1
The band of the bra should hold or support 90% of the weight of the breasts. If the band does not support, it puts unnecessary strain and pressure on the shoulder straps.
Rule #2
Center band and wires should lie flat on the chest, even in the base separating the breasts.
Rule #3
The bra band should be parallel in the front and the back.
Rule #4
The bra band should not shift from its place when the arms are raised or moved.
Rule #5
Breast tissue should fill the cups completely without coming out over the top of the sides.
Rule #6
The center of the breast should be positioned midway between the shoulder and the elbow.

It is important to measure your size before you buy your bras. Knowing bra sister sizes will be an added advantage. Your old measurements might not hold good till date. Choosing the Right bra is not an easy task, but if you keep these simple rules in mind before you shop, you are less likely to buy an ill-fitted one. If you are looking to revamp your closet, you can buy the top bras in India

All you need to know about Sister Bra Sizes

You shouldn’t be surprised if we tell you that you can fit into more than one specific bra size. Sister sizes are alternative sizes that will fit you perfectly. It is important to understand the difference between regular bra size and sister size before you opt for one.
The hidden secret to sister bra sizes is the fact that you will realize that you can actually fit into more bra sizes than your current bra size.
How the Concept of Sister Bra Size Works?
We usually buy a Bra by opting for the right cup and band size. What you don’t know is that there is a relation between the two.
Fact: Bra Cup size (cup volume) is relative to the Bra Band Size. So when your band size increases say for example from 32B to 34B, the cup volume gets larger. For more interesting facts, read bra facts
Based on this concept you will find that more cup sizes have a similar volume even though they do not share the same band size. Bra sizes with the same Bra Cup volume, although labeled with varying cup sizes are termed as Bra Sisters Sizes.
How Do You Find Your Sister Bra Size?
You can refer to size charts that will help you determine your Sister Bra Sizes. The sizes in the same color or the same row are all sister Sizes. They have the same cup volume as your bra size.
For example, if you wear a regular 34 C, then your bust may also fit into a 32D or even a 36 B sized bra.
Figuring out a Sister Size requires a set of one-size shifts, in opposite directions, in the numbers and letters of bra sizing.
Remember that the cup changes in “name” only; the band’s number size and actual length changes.
• Sister Size DOWN = one actual size smaller than your current Band size AND one letter name larger than your current Cup
• Sister Size UP = one actual size larger than your current Band size AND one letter name smaller than your current Cup
Let Me Give You an Example with Different Instances
1) If the Band Fits, but the Cup Doesn’t
Solution: Change the letter but not the number
Example: If your size is currently 34B then you might want to go to 34A or 34C depending on whether you need a bigger or smaller cup.
box 1
2) If the Band Doesn’t Fit but the Cup Fits
Solution: Change both the letter and the number diagonally
Example: If your size is currently 34B and the band is loose but the cup is correct you need to go to 32C to make the band tighter and make the cup remain unchanged.
Similarly, if you are a size34B and the band is tight then you need to go up a band size and go down a cup size as the cup size remains unchanged.
box 2
3) If Both the Cup and Band Size Need Adjustment
Solution: You need to adjust the number but not the letter
Example: If your current size is 34B and both band and cup are too loose then you need to go to 32B. The cup size remains unchanged as when we go down band size the cup automatically reduces in volume.
Similarly if band size and cup size is too tight then you need to go up a band size without changing the cup size. The cup size remains unchanged as when we go up band size the cup automatically increases in volume
box 3
In short : Many bra sizes can fit your bust! See which bra sizes that have same cup volume in the bra sister size chart.
Remember :  Different “bra sister sizes” can be used by the same woman (cup volume will fit). But it is no guarantee that all band sizes will fit. So remember to always try bras on!

Whether it’s everyday bra or push-up bra, sister sizes will help you overcome the problem of non-availability of specific sizes.
